NOT TROLLING: Why don't they improve AI?
I am a single player/PvE player mostly and was very disappointed with the AI of BB and BB2 back in the day.
This is the main reason why I haven't bought BB3....
Why do they ignore this feature? I can't understand that they offer the option to play against the CPU for 3 games and the AI is still so bad.

So people can win while taking not that many damage. There are open lanes to exploit and you can test your skill at cage breaking. For me going back to PvP is a cold shower, even in Bronze and Silver coaches play much better as the AI.

BB3 was all about the money since day 1. Single player doesn't encourage you to buy the battle pass and its related cosmetics, so single player won't get any love.

Because it requires time investment (so money) and skilled engineer assigned to it (money again). And they don't have the resources, as it's already clear. The game is compex, so developing a decent AI is hard (not impossible how many apologist for its crappy state will try you to believe). AI in BB1 was on a completely different level. If there can be such gap between BB3 and BB1 AI, then definitely you could take, say BB1 AI, and make it even better, given time. But they are unvilling to spend a year of part of their team on solo content. They can't even prepare a bug-free release, or fix critical bugs on time.

For the next seasson they'll probably patch the pathetic thing a bit, add Eternal League from BB2 (so repetitive, boring pseudo-game) - and that will be it, 99%.

Because Blood Bowl AI that was good would require an Alpha Go sized project and investment (at least), and Cyanide don't have Google mpney.

You're basically asking for a pony that won't make a mess - it's not a real thing.

i belive that the IA have improved since the beginning, still not amaizing but not totally untouched

Intentions don't matter. If it's crap it's still crap, even if it's an improved crap.

At least 2 pretty simple things they could fix with the AI.
1. You have one blitz per turn, please make the AI use that blitz to take down the ball carrier or his protectors to at least get a tackle zone on the ball carrier.
2. Ball and chain players...why does the computer have to think 15 seconds per move and why does he go in the opposite direction and off field? I know it's not guaranteed what square he will go to but aim him at the opponents and not off field at least.

No it wouldn't. There's people right now that write half-way competent AI engines for Blood Bowl. They even have a regular competition.

https://njustesen.github.io/botbowl/

They could at the very least weight the actions so the AI won't make a 4+ dodge away from the line of scrimmage as their very fist action every kickoff.
A world class champion AI would be pretty hard. A not-completely brain-dead Artificial Semi-Intelligence shouldn't be impossible.

well, next season we'll get eternal league, that's a huge update on the singleplayer side

Yes, it's sad. In Blood Bowl AI could defend and score. In Blood Bowl 2 it can defend. In Blood Bowl 3 it can't do anything. I only bought BB 3 because it was on sale. It's not worth full price.

BB1 AI was able to win a match against a famous coach once, on a live stream.

Cyanide should just have opened their AI code to the public long ago, implemented it as a plug-in - and just let their community to work on it. I'm 105% sure in a year we would have a freaking great AI of our own then.

They are lazy developers. Looks how little effort they put into commentary. Most of it is lifted straight from Blood Bowl 2.

But the AI is comically inept. I saw a gutter runner with the ball, that I could NOT stop, run from my end zone back to midfield, so the AI could form a cage around it. It's astonishingly bad AI from bad mediocre developers.

Lol, BB2? BB1 has the same (or almost the same) lines.
