Hello, players conceding matches before the end are now temporarily banned from the official ladder, the more matches you concede, the longer the penalty.
If a match freezes or the game crashes you should be able to reconnect by restarting the game.
If this is not the case, you can report it to us here, in the bug-report room of the game Discord or via the game support: https://bloodbowl3.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
I just quitted because the game crashed (I was winning) and came back within a minute, and it didn't reconnect...
So how to disconnect properly ?
When you're trying a new team and your thrower get killed and a blitzer get a serious injury, you conceed, because you don't want to spend 45 mn for a team you'll delete.
And it's not very funny to be the fool that is punched out.
So you make another team, clean and fresh and still unlucky. So you try anoter race, an easy target for the bashing teams, like skavens and get killed.
And you know, my opponent was surely happy I conceeded, it was free points and a short match for him...
So just give me negatives points or 30 mn but not an 11h ban if you want to ever see me again playing this random game ! Or I'll uninstall !!!
Or you could just soft concede: leave the players on the ground and pass your turns. at worst your opponent will spend 30 seconds moving guys to foul and the game will be over in under 10 mins. this way it's not too long for you and your opponent still get his touchdowns spps.
If opponent decides to score fast and you get set up again. move your players not on the ground along the border of the pitch and for those that are to far to reach the border take all the gfis and hope they fall down . So he will surf a couple of players and you're done. The goal is simply to minimise the number of blocks he gets to take per turn which is what takes a lot of time.
This ban's rule seems exagerated.
There is more glory in rage-quitting !!!
What I'm about to say is not very sportsmanlike and I don't think it's the right attitude to enjoy the game, but if you really feel that way, you could always just stay in lost games to damage your opponent's team in revenge. That is ultimately fair game.
Concessions mess with team development and it's good that the problem has been adressed. I do however agree with you that the new concession rules should have been made more visible, suffering a 12 hours penalty because of one concession (or even worse, because of a technical issue) sounds overly harsh.
I understand that Blood Bowl is originally a british product and therefore inherently designed to inflict pain upon human beings, but still, there is no need to aggravate an already dissatisfied playerbase with sanctions so heavy they're more fit for popular MOBAs than for such a niche game.
Hello, one concession does not earn you a 12-hour ban, you have to chain several to reach this ban duration.
The first concession does not result in a penalty, if it is not followed by other concessions.
Incorrect, first concession is 15 mins then 1 hour then 12 hours then 48 hours...I'm currently in the stage of waiting for 48 hours and look to see what the next ridiculous period of time could be after that, maybe a full 7 days who knows?
The second concession is a 15 min ban, not the first one
