Why is customisation still so restricted?

The game has been out for half a year, and STILL we dont have access to alot of the cosmetics used by the ai.
Seriously, cheerleader were featured in the trailer, they are in the game, but nowhere to be unlocked. What gives? Am i just stupid?

On top of this we cant use regular team cosmetics, in mixed teams. Skaven and Goblins are featured in 3 teams each now.
And yet, despite looking almost identical, their access to clothing gets more restricted with each iteration.
(surely the technology would have been here by now.)

Logic be like "sorry this is 3 different team , this has nothing to do with the fact than that positionnal as the exact same name as other" .
In bloodbowl 2 , im pretty sur than when you was with the same positionnal , you can have the same head as his counterpart .
But even that , some team were looking very different like skaven blitzer and underworld blitzer.
So i think it kinda depend if the positionnal is very different or not.
Like ogre and goblin can be the same.
Same was for nurgle warrior and chaos warrior (nurgle did get completely change for the worst so they are not really the same anymore).

It aint about technology, it's about money and getting players online to pad out the numbers. As they add more teams, each pass will have to accommodate those teams too, so you may only get 1 or 2 for the race you play.

I would rather have $5 race specific mini cosmetic packs than pass crap.

Where are the fields, cheerleaders and coaches for teams already in the game?
This is ridiculous, I can play an NPC team in a Skaven stadium in the "campaign", but I can't play in a Skaven stadium online against another person?

I think what blows my mind the most right now is that we get to see all these cool looking underworld denizens customizations in the trailer, but you can't even earn most of it, hell Lizardmen still don't have any shop options beyond the pass stuff.

like not that I approve of the monetization but if you're gonna nickel and dime us cyanide at least have the damn things on for purchase, my favorite team just looks like Skaven mixed with Orc goblins not a proper Underworld team

I honestly dont think i have ever seen a game do ♥♥♥♥ like this before, even.
At most i would expect: "this character is wearing a cloak you cant get in game" or "This trailer features scrapped content"
But the UD, are literally dripped head to toe in unavailable content.

And you can't even excuse it with "ah, they just focused on the game play" when the swarming skill (the one new thing they added) doesn't even have the correct description.
The best, copiest excuse i can think of is: Maybe the shop problems they talked about will feature a complete redesign. And all the missing stuff will ATLEAST be available in the shop.

Well. Clearly Underworld is a rush second release. It looks like a bad conversion job by some kid new to Games Workshop. I do feel for Underworld fans, they just aint well designed in this version. Also the insult of no visible mutations.

They had the models from existing races, so just added green crap on them, rushed a trailer and said 'eff it'. Then added premium pass option...wow.

DLC and cosmetic stores done right can be lucrative, and good for the fan base. Who doesn't enjoy spicing up their models. I'd happily pay for well done race specific kits.

Just don't scroll through the official gameplay trailers or images on the front of the steam page, because 90% of the content shown either can't be unlocked in game, or will cost an extra $15 and 100 hours of gameplay before you can use it. Cyanide consistently drops the ball with every update. Hopefully It'll be fixed in 3 years and i can finally recommend the game to friends.
