Eternal league, when?

I bought this game wrongfully assuming it would have the same sort of game options as it's predecessor, namely the eternal league; my preferred game mode. So with a sad heart I refunded it because I can't play multiplayer most of the time and playing the same campaign over and over isn't really fun. If anyone has an idea when they might bring back the eternal league, I'd really love to know.

They will probalbly add it, a lot of people want it. But as far as i know they gave no date for this feature.

That's a shame they haven't mentioned it, I guess it might be on my wishlist for a while. It's kinda weird to me that it's lower priority than features like dressing up your warhammer dolls (especially since they die so frequently), but maybe fans of the last two games are no longer the target demographic or something.

Devs have a lot of thing to fix… for sure a lot to prepare the season launch… and solo part is very far to be priority :(

With everything so far, I'm just pleasantly amazed to hear an official source say BB3 even has "priorities on the development [...] for the solo game modes."

They're probably low priorities and still years off. But them being there at all is great news!

Thank you for your reply, I am looking forward to playing this game eventually. Perhaps you will reintroduce mixed teams eventually as well. I really hope the bosses don't decide to abandon the game due to perceived lack of interest by the community because of the disastrous launch, I think it still has the potential to be a fun game.

So right now there's a pre-season quick match. What's the difference from an eternal league? Is it because you figure this one will end and your team won't be able to join an eternal league if they make one later?

I will say I get waiting for a sale. It's not running that bad for me so far, but I've gotten screwed up by the UI certainly. I agree that it has potential, the overtime clock took getting used to, but it's a good change.

I guess the main difference for me between eternal leagues and quick matches is the progression. Sure you can (hopefully) get some sp and build your team on quick matches, but you can't complete seasons and win championships and foster rivalries with established teams. All the fun of playing in a league without the stress of having to concede mid match because you can't pause or save and go back to it when you get another block of time to play.

I can see how the clock might be useful in multiplayer matches to keep the online matches hopping, but against AI like in eternal league it's just an annoyance and should be off as default.

I didn't really want to wait for a sale for this game because I wanted something cool for my birthday so I got the brutal edition but after giving it a good look and seeing it has so much less that I like about BB2 and nothing I love, I'll likely wait to see if it gets necromunda'd or not before i pick up an ultimate edition in a year or three if it progresses to where I can enjoy it as much as the game I already have.

That sounds great, can you give an indication about the AI. It's not at peak performance yet. I get it that people want to win their matches, but some token resistance would make that feeling even greater.
