The dice are not fair
Good morning! So, I've studied a bit about dice and I must say that the dice algorithm is terrible and rigged. Let me explain: I keep track of all my games and review them, and I've noticed that the game seems to punish me if I take risks. If I roll for an extended period and get a 1, in 99% of the cases, I'll roll another 1. I have evidence from 100 games, and in 99 instances, I rolled a 1 again. So, the game is not fair. Moreover, there are 1,000 other situations where if I reroll a 1, I'll always get another 1. In conclusion, I've observed consistent patterns in the dice rolls, which means that the dice are not honest but programmed to create different situations. The dice are not fair.

1st block: Defender Down
2nd block: Attacker Down, reroll: Defender Stumbles
3rd block: Defender Down
4th block: Pushback
5th block: Pushback
6th block: Both Down, reroll: Attacker Down
7th block: Defender Stumbles
8th block: Attacker Down, reroll: Both Down
9th block: Pushback
10th block: Pushback
11th block: Pushback
12th block: Attacker Down, reroll: Defender Stumbles
13th block: Pushback
14th block: Pushback
15th block: Pushback
16th block: Defender Down
17th block: Defender Stumbles
18th block: Pushback
19th block: Pushback
20th block: Defender Stumbles
21st block: Both Down, reroll: Defender Stumbles
22nd block: Attacker Down. reroll: Pushback
23rd block: Defender Down
24th block: Attacker Down

Summary(30 dice rolls);

4 Defender Down
6 Attacker Down
6 Defender Stumbles
3 Both Down
11 Pushback

This follows the expected patterns.

In conclusion: OP is using a fake account (trying to claim its because they are scared of the developers) to try and discredit the game by making out the dice rolls are rigged.

The dice are fair. Please show your evidence

I need to see your logs to get confirmation.

Series of 1 aren't mathematically abnormal. In game consequences are severe.
Did you noticed series of other rolls or did you only report 1 ?
Kubusta Jun 29, 2023 @ 2:00am
What platform do you play on, Sigbellone?

I don't mean it personally, but it seems you have your math wrong..
To roll 1 and in 99% to roll another one.. that is totally false claim.

Maybe you get mistaken that if you roll with a loner and you reroll it (and you don't roll say, 4+) the game "rolls" again the previous result, which is one?

Anyways, I'd like to see your evidence as otherwise such topic is redundant..

While I find it highly unlikely that there is any bias in BB3's dice systems given that there wasn't any in BB1 or BB2, and given that they've stated that BB3 uses exactly the same system as BB2 did... the lack of replay files means there has been no serious analysis of BB3s rolls at this point, so there is no evidence in either direction yet.

That doesn't mean that all conclusions are equally likely, of course... but it does mean it is tough to declare there is evidence to support any conclusions yet.

I don't think there is bias. I think it's absolutely possible there is bug in the netcode and transmissions of dice between server and client.

Dice are not fair. Dice are random. And you do not roll double 1s 99 times out of 100.

I'd be inclined to agree with you. I've noticed that more than 9 times out of 10, when the AI re-rolls a pair of block dice, the second roll is the exact same as the first. I've also noticed this when the AI re-rolls failed Big Guy die rolls.

I do not thing the rolls are biased, but I do think there's something odd in how often results are duplicated.

Tell me you have never played a boardgame in your life, without telling me you have never played a boardgame in you rlife.

I played BB on the Table and you would not believe what streaks you throw. Sometimes you allways succeed, sometimes you are cursed for weeks on end. Who do you blame then? Nature? Some God? Fake Dice (even when they are your own?) ?

This topic is so old and your sample size so little, countless others have checked, it is random. Can random be bad for you, hell yeah. Dice don't remember.

You have to play against the dice - meaning: Don't get in situation where you have to throw them! And if you do, always (!) expect that it will go totally wrong.

Good luck.

Hum, I think this is just because when the AI miss the Loner roll he did the reroll animation and show again the actually not rerolled dice.

I am referring to the text/icon descriptions of the die rolls, not the animations themselves.

So guys, don't defend the game blindly. I like the game, the data is unfair, and that's my point. Pay attention: if you roll only one die and a red skull comes out, and if you reroll it 100% of the time and still get a red skull, it's mathematically consistent. Take note and come here later to report. And there are a thousand similar situations that always happen to me. If you don't see it, you have the ham over your eyes. I'm sorry, but the dice are dirty. I've been playing the game for 40 years, so I'm not a young guy, and when I see strange situations, I notice them. That's why I decided to record the strange actions, to see if it was just me being suspicious or if I found a pattern, and the pattern is there. Not always, but only in certain situations deliberately created to punish you if you dare too much. I also know that the dice can be cursed, but here I see patterns. And obviously, this is a profile created to remain anonymous, to avoid punishments from developers who may come across this post. It's up to you to mark the described situations and evaluate if there's any truth to them. I have my doubts, at least for me. The ball is in your court now, and may Nafol punish the culprit if it's true. Good game to everyone, I care about you."

That is literally what taking a risk means ... you are taking a big chance at being punished for that move. What's the problem?

The dice are fine. I'm a statistician by trade and I've witnessed nothing to suggest they don't follow the normal rules of probability. Usually when people claim they are not fair its due to a common misunderstanding of probability. Rolling a 6 on a dice does not happen every six rolls. It means over thousands and thousands of rolls you will eventually reach the point that it evens out to about 1 in 6 rolls are a 6.

You are coming across as extremely paranoid. The developers really couldn't care less what you post on Steam discussion threads. They probably don't even read these posts. The community managers might feed ideas and feedback to them but they are certainly not going to ban people from the game just because they think the dice are rigged.

Darling, I didn't want to believe it either, but this thing I described has happened 100% of the time. I play 10 hours a day because I'm disabled and I have nothing else to do. I swear that I'll be here to apologize if even once something different from a red skull comes up on a reroll. Keep in mind that I'm talking about the roll of a single die because it's different when using a pair, but when I use one die out of 200 games, a red skull always comes up. Until now, in almost 200 games, the opposite has never happened, and that's why I think this way. I will continue to think this way until the opposite occurs, and I'll tell you that I play a tabletop game by BB twice a week, but I've never encountered patterns like this on PC. This is my opinion after 350 hours of gameplay. Now that I've pointed it out to you, sometimes I do it on purpose, rerolling, to see if it's really like that. Goodbye, and I apologize again if I've bothered you with my conspiracy theories.

Again, what platform do you play on Sigbellone?
