How do dedicated fans work? Is it normal that they start to vanish?

I start team with 6/6 dedicated fans. But they seem to randomly vanish. Now im at 3/6 and i cant buy more. So is there rules where they vanish? Can you ever get them back at max? Or are they just waste of money if they will go 0/6 without ability to get them restock.

If you lose, you can lose them. If you win you can gain them.

After each match there's a mention of your new amount of dedicated fans, determined by a dice roll.

If you win a match and roll (1D6) higher or equal to your current dedicated fan number, you gain a dedicated fan.

If you lose a match and roll lower or equal to your current dedicated fan number, you lose a dedicated fan.

Conceding IIRC guaranteed loss of fans.

Thanks for help. I did get this info week ago, but before then i deleted many teams because i thought my fans where bugged. Hope it helps other new players.
