After the devs throwing around quotes like this:
"Our goal is to reward everyone for playing Blood Bowl the way they want to. All the main game modes (campaign, VS AI, official or private competitions, etc.) will allow you to gain Blood Pass XP, as all regular Blood Bowl actions in matches (passing, blocking, dodging, scoring) will grant Blood Pass XP."
it's extremely disappointing to learn that, no, we can't be rewarded for playing the way we want.
We can't even play the way we want in the first place, with the three possible use cases for offline play all being non-functional right now:
Campaign - Intended to work offline, but currently bugged.
Vs AI League - Apparently intended to be online only?
Hotseat League - Completely denied as a game feature, online or off.
It's one thing for a game to simply prioritise multiplayer. It's another when it seems to go out of its way to tell solo players to just go away and stop even bothering to hope for the most basic functionality.
Would it really be so terrible if they just let us help fund their game by buying overpriced cosmetics purely to play against ourselves and the AI with?
Now 9. hehe
Monetization is based on something modders are doing as a hobby since decades.
It's also a killswitch for the devs or Game Workshop. Dawn of War 1 is still played this day with mods and multiplayer, community completely owns the game.
