Upgrading Offline Teams
My husband and our friends loved BB2 because we could create and level up teams to match our old boardgame teams and then play with each other on the big screen. Does this game not have that feature? If not that's a deal breaker for me.

you get skill points in matches which you can level up your team with.. I dont think there is a way to edit an offline team to give em skill/stats you want

In BB2 you could create an offline team, then level up anything you wanted as long as you didn't start a league or play a match with it. We used this to make all our fave teams and play them against each other on the TV together. If this game lacks the ability to create already-leveled up offline teams then I have no interest in it. We're adults with jobs and kids, we don't have time to play hundreds of games just to level up teams we've already leveled up before.

I switched to offline mode and created a new team, but I couldn't make any adjustments to the players. But maybe one of the more experienced players can still test this.

If you play an 'offline' team and or unlock stuff in offline mode, it won't be imported to 'online' play/mode/team

When swapping between offline and online a pop up appears that states the following:
' Warning: Online and Offline modes are two different things! Your progress, teams your create, as well as unlocked content can only be used in the game mode that you are playing...'

I also confirm that my Online team and armour bits haven't exported to offline mode

As for modifying game files, I do not have any experience in this

While leveling in BB2 it involved RNG; the current BB3 leveling there is no RNG. Simply save up the SP and you can buy the skills that relate to your faction and you can even buy Stat point upgrades. Of course saying this, while I can empathise about not having much time available, it requires playing the game unfortunately

Even the tutorial matches seems to be forced upon us to play again offline, to be able to play an offline tournament (and since the servers hardly work right now, that is a bit annoying)

It took me 2.5 hours before I managed to actually got to play a friendly game against the AI, without having to set it to offline.. and up until then the default teams weren't even selectable. it just bounched back to 'Start Match' after a minute or so, offline it started at once.
Overall it's quite fun, but everything takes sooo much time when connected to online mode.

I'm not talking about hacking game files or cheating. I'm talking about a standard feature in BB2 where you can make a team then level it up in any way you wanted for offline play. Our gaming groups LOVES this because we can create all kinds of fun/crazy teams to pit against each other. If BB3 lacks this feature that's a paddling.

Currently bb3 has almost no features except the basics (random multi, campain, custom league). There is no stats for players, teams or at the end of a game.
Create a custom team, with experienced players, will probably be possible in several month...
They have so much to do before...

Ok thank you! I'll leave a scathing review and get a refund. I've spent the last hour reading the posts and looking into just how abysmal this turned out. What a sad waste after all these years. *shrugs* At least we still have BB2 and it's fantastic =)
