Can't get it to work myself, either. So it's not just you.

FB can only be used at the end of a turn, so there is a very small window of opportunity,

I've been spamming the fireball before the end of my opponent's turn and it didn't trigger. Then at the end of my turn, I had to throw the fireball and I couldn't cancel.

Im testing it will have an answer soon. I think it is during opponents turn you call it and then you throw it at end of their turn.

It's tied to the F key. Spam F when you end your turn to do it at the end of your own turn. Spam F during their turn to do it after their turn

No need to spam anything, just use it with f in ur turn, click once on fireball or zap so it's highlighted and it will prompt as soon as the turn ends.

It's stil the end if you don't start your turn, the small window can stay open in your clocktime just as in BB2.

Yeah what was happening at the time this question was asked was that the Fireball order was laggy due to poor server response, so it looked like you could only fire it if you pressed the button way in advance during the opponent turn. This is a 22 Feb post, during early access.

Now it works as intended as you can keep it "fired" and the button will remain highlighted. Now you can also wait until your turn, also as intended, but in early access the button was unresponsive (it took quite a while to fire, so it looked like it didn't work).

I used one at the start of my turn without any issues with the fireball itself but the player I clicked on after to pick up the ball had issues... his activation and stuff no longer showed and he seemed to have less movement and it was hard to force him to do anything and when I did he rushed when he had movement and failed the rush...

I figured out how to use it (basically click only once during your opponent's turn and you will see an almost unnoticeable highlight on the edge).

I don't know if it works as intended, but it's very bad that we can't just do it at the start of our turn before doing anything else (which is the same as the end of our opponent's turn).

It is hit & miss, but it works a the beginning of your turn too. To be sure, as soon as you know you are going to use it, press the button once so it is highlighted. It still happens to me that sometimes I press the button during the opponent's turn but the fireball fires at the end of my turn. I suspect it has something to do with bad latency because it happens when the game is laggy.

The servers are far better now than when this post was started, but there is still room for improvement. Nothing in this game is really reliable right now, so you can't count on your wizard working properly. We don't have an official ladder anyways, so it is not that big of a deal, but it is frustrating anyways.
