I stream Blood Bowl weekly using BB1 because it's the only one that allows AI vs. AI. Please, allow BB3 to allow AI vs. AI matches for not only us streamers, but for those who want to play a more "GM mode" game.

Please developers.. I want to upgrade from BB1 for my stream.

To be fair, AI vs AI would be effortless to implement, so even if its use is niche, they should put it on. If anything, it gives them an extra feature for their marketing ^^

Also please let us have a decent AI. I'm begging :D

I see a lot of "Make better AI" posts all the time, but I don't think Cyanide Studios has the employee count and budget to really create the AI people are looking for. Keep in mind that these games aren't exactly triple A titles with huge followings. They are niche games compared to games with complex AI.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love for them to have a massively improved AI and it isn't impossible to create, just that I imagine that the developers won't have the time/budget/resources to make the AI people want.

Honestly it sounds lame to say. But a A.I. vs A.I. coaching mode or just a set of games would be kinda fun. Like honestly make a straight up Sunday Night mode with special announcer dialogue and let people watch it. That sounds great and would thoroughly confuse my old man.

It's a fair point, but I think most people would be ok if they just had a more open modding policy and let people create AI mods themselves. From other grand strategy games and turn based game I play (I know this is slightly different but its similar) modders are always able to make better AI than the devs. Not because they are better coders, but simply because they have the luxury of spending months making the AI not derp out on turn 16 without worrying about things like the budget of the game.

The AI people want may also not be something that is actually possible. I mean, if they could set up a learning AI that might be one thing. But as it is, setting up an if/then set of conditions like is probably done just can't be as robust as a living person who can think and plan ahead, anticipate what their opponent is likely to do, and so on.

Then there's the fact that players WILL notice and abuse the hell out of any quirks in the AI. Then complain about how bad the AI is when you deliberately take advantage of it's quirks to force the AI into specific actions.

Seriously, these online games suck because of rage quits etc. Singleplayer league playing is very important.

I would like it, just because I like watching blood bowl, and end up sleeping and waking at odd hours and unfortunately blood bowl isn't streamed 24/7 but its not too bad. Thanks for taking our suggestion into consideration.

Just so you know, a CM from Cyanide mentionned on the official discord that the AI in the closed beta wasn't representative of the finished product.

Btw, if you want a healthy BB environment without having to rely on the AI, you can also play in human league. CCL and big ladders in general can be pretty toxic, but most of the BB community is centered around leagues of various sorts.

That's fair, but doesn't match up with my way of streaming it. I want my viewers to be the players. Taking actions for them would not be something I would want to do. Also, I would want to be able to level them up.

AI vs. AI here with custom teams would be perfect.

if the ai was better then the number of "the ai is cheating" threads would explode. They probably just don't want the headache.
