If you start over again, you will be surprised by all the marvellous changes. I like it.
BUT be aware:
Normal is the former HARD
EASY is the former NORMAL
and so on.
Try it, you will like it!
Are there many side missions? Does the world feel alive? I mean, I mean if there are things to do.
I think it takes longer. I think I needed 20-25 hours, but this is several mega patches and lots of bugs ago :)
If somebody plays for the first time, it takes time to explore the maps, playing every event marked on the map, do all the trainings, build (unnecessary) machines and so on. You will make "mistakes" in your decisions, which must be corrected. This all takes time. Later if you know all maps/quests and so on, you can rush through several missions, or skip some things.
The heist mission will probably be around 2-3 hours and even there are chances for mistakes.
The game is definitly replayable. The story missions remain the same, but they come in different orders, so your companions arrive in different orders too. You can also try to take different decisions or play mission other ways as intended. For instance mission Chain reaction: You can surrender, or can figth. If you fight, you can choose to play rambo style killing each opponent, or you just kill the soldiers, which are in you way down the hospital, or you try this by not shooting at all - by placing land mines at the right places before triggering the event.
1 person completed the game in 10-15 hours
1 person completed the game in 15-20 hours
7 people completed the game in 20-25 hours
3 people completed the game in 25-35 hours
4 people needed over 35 hours to finish the game.
These are the times of the Chernobylite development team, so people who often already knew the game and knew how to play. For the vast majority of them, however, it was the first chance to play the game from start to finish. I think the average player will play Chernobylite around 25 hours.
Thanks, this information helps a lot.
Im playin on hard tho for the challenge and loving the resource mgmt of the game so far, and thats coming from someone who hates survival games
On average I would say 20-30 hours for people who go for main goal.
Yep, sounds true to me.
* = based on content and play ability. Basically its a rinse and repeat game.
