Chernobylite GoG version --> Enhanced Edition
They haven't updated it on that platform yet, does anyone know anything?

On Steam developers themselves are able to directly update a game. On GOG a developer needs to get a GOG employee to add the update of the game. Updates are usually slower because of this.

I've never heard that about GOG. Cite a reference please.

Did some quick google searching, here is a link to a forum for the game Phoenix Point discussing that developers do not directly package updates for games, instead GOG themselves packages those updates.

Here is the relevant paragraph:

The latest update (ORRYX, 1.10) should now be live on GOG, but wanted to shed some light around the recent delays. We work closely with the GOG team to roll out our updates on their platform. We keep them aware of when we plan to deploy patches, but we do not package the new builds within their ecosystem, we rely on them to do this. Because of this, our deployment on GOG is slower than on other platforms, where we deploy directly. Typically, that turnaround should only be about one to two business days.

Yes, the GoGa team helps us set up everything. This is not due to the fact that we cannot upload the update ourselves (because we can), but that a paid DLC with cosmetics should appear with the update, and the launch options must be added to the game itself in order for the game to work in DX12. If all goes to plan, the update will hit GoG today.
