How do I get caught by the NAR? I got Olivier back once by getting captured - I just walked up to some NAR goons and let them shoot me, and I woke up in the prison.
Now Olga is "lost". So I tried to get captured again, but the NAR goons killed me and I lost items. Is there a way to get captured by the NAR without dying and losing items?
I'm playing the GOG version, by the way.
The game isn't particularly great at explaining this due to the seemingly random nature of when getting shot kills you or puts you in jail. I believe you have to be at a certain point in the story to actually get sent to jail. Since I didn't actually die to NAR enemies until the heavy soldiers and the guys who shoot stun rounds showed up, and due to my tendency to reload a save when I got killed, I only realized this when I was almost finished with the game.
Devs, again, make a tutorial compendium that you can look at at any time.
Agreed I wish there was a surrender mechanic myself . There are some missions u get captured in too if you wanna wait but thats just punishing you by not having a resource gatherer I guess

I went to the prison in the Red Wood, from the mission from Olga , but it is empty !
1.) So really you have to reload until you aren't killed and put to jail ?
2.) Or kill yourself with that machine in your base and do what ? Remove the decision, where the followers didn't returned ?
Woow one of the most stupid game mechanics I encountered in a game for a while ...
at least there should be also an option to free them ... not only that strange decisions.
They are only caputered, aren't they ?
Just before you decide to end mission and open portal to return to the base. you should manual save first. if any of your companion didn't return, then just load the manual save again
Just put all your items in storage and then get yourself killed. Once you craft the radiation chamber killing yourself becomes a useful tool and you don't lose any items.
