I'm not scared of your game, I'm not afraid of going into these buildings, I'm stressing out because I don't want to force my heart rate to spike from an involuntary reaction.
I have played all the Metro games, and their jump scares are not like what I have had in this game so far. I agree with the OP, it IS a bit much..
No, this game is genuinely not scary. I thoroughly enjoy the Metro series and the first STALKER game. This game is on an entirely different level with these jump "scares"
I enjoy games that are all about jump scares like Phasmophobia and Devour. I scream like a girl when I play these and it's fun and my friends and I laugh. But this game is genuinely starting to aggravate me with how hard it is trying.
I fail to see your point about them being out of place. I don't subscribe to pure jumpscare abusers like FFAF because well I'm deathly afraid of them. But, while I DO hate getting jumpscared, I acknowledge that having a few of them in the course of 30hrs do spice up the overall horror experience.
