Corrupted files crash

Keeps crashing while walking around saying game files are corrupted. I verify the files every time using Steam but it keeps happening on different missions. Only thing I have noticed is that is it certain areas of the map and the rest is fine. One particularly bad area was in the old friend quest around the group of small buildings.

Anyone have a work around for these issues? I did send reports.

Crash reports will not help us, because the problem is not with the game but with steam. We have no influence on how Steam works, and we cannot fix the fact that you have corrupted game files.

I heard that if the file verification does not help, then it is worth trying to install the game on a different disk, or at least in a different folder. Unfortunately, although I download the new Chernobylite development version every day, I've never had such problems, so I can't confirm it personally.

The files are not actually corrupted, hence why the validation yields no results. No other game I play has these issues. I suppose I am foolish for expecting anything useful from the developer.

What other help do you expect? The in-game message makes it clear what the problem is. I don't understand why you don't accept this. Steam's game file verification tool is not perfect. There have been people reporting such issues before, and everyone has managed to fix the game files. Just follow my advice and you should be fine.

As I wrote - Steam's game file verification tool is not perfect. If the file verification does not help, then it is worth trying to install the game on a different disk, or at least in a different folder.
