Hotfix 1.12.0.12 is live

Oct 8

Hello everyone,

We have a hotfix out that could prevent some players from activating the DLC in game. Please update your game files to the latest version.

Patch notes:

Fixed a crash on load of some older saves.
Fixed an issue with the in-game DLC selection that could show the DLC as enabled when it was not.

Cabbages

Are cabbages (which are new to the game today) considered to be rustic food? I built a cabbage farm and market stall as my second food product (after berries) but no one is consuming them.

Am I building walls wrong?

I'm upgrading the walls around my housing from light fort to heavy fort, and doing so is taking forever. I'm guessing its because only one builder can be assigned to the project? I've kept it all as one monument so that the walls can attach to each other. I have 4 builders lodges, and otherwise no other building work to complete. Is this just how it is? I was expecting my builders to swarm it and get it done fast, but it's taking so long that some houses have downgraded. Do I just need to do it in tiny s...

Allow Copying + Pasting buildings and add-ons

When selecting a building, have a copy button allowing the player to copy an entire building (with add-ons and painted area) to a clipboard, and a corresponding paste function to paste everything somewhere else. Especially useful with the DLC as you have to create a lot of small zoned areas (crofts, farms)....

Foundation is a relaxing medieval city builder that looks great and is perfect for a one-day speedrun session.

What I liked:

Very pleasant visuals, the world looks cozy and alive
Interesting organic path generation, roads form naturally where villagers walk
Nice, soft color palette that's easy on the eyes
Great for a single-day speedrun, you can get a lot done in one sitting

What I didn't like:

The UI is clunky and not intuitive
Not much variety. Building always ends up feeling linear and there's very little to discover
The mods are weak and don't add much
I sometimes got stuck because I couldn't figure out where something was or how to do it, even when it was right under my nose

Verdict: Worth it if you want a chill, good-looking builder for a few evenings. Don't expect much depth or long-term replayability.

Great game. I'd recommend it to those who enjoy combining creative thinking and problem solving,
although I've had problems with the game crashing 10+ times after 80 hrs playing. Therefore important to regularly save your progress.
