I saw a preview for the new Dennis Quaid movie and said to myself "What was that Quantum Leap game he was in all those years ago?" Lol, the more I dug I realized its TimeShift a game that I own!
By the way, i remember before this game even became TimeShift it was called Steam Wars and was fully steam punk, i dont remember if i saw it, but i totally remember hearing or reading what it was before. Later on steam punk changed into diesel punk style and focus changed to time features so it became time shift. i wonder if there was any Steam Wars demo shown anywhere.
Btw, did anyone notice major influence from Half Life 2 (just keep in mind that HL2 was influenced a lot by 1984) and F.E.A.R ? This game totally feels like mix of both. There is a eastern europe look and feel, there is some doctor on screens who talks about unregistered citizens just like doctro Breen in half life 2 and just like who city 17 but darker, more mature and more retro futuristic version of it, there is also sort of walking citadel that we see like whole game and chasing it, there is a suit that reminds HEV and talks about everything it detects. And time mechanics, graphic engine, AI of soldiers and overall mechanics reminds fear a lot.
