Into the Radius in Meta Quest 3
I'm thinking about buying Meta Quest 3 and getting Into the Radius (along with 2 when it comes out) to play on it, my question is, how well does it run on Meta Quest 3?
I played Into the Radius before on my friend's Valve Index and it ran pretty well, had some pretty good resolution so I'm wondering how it compares.

Depends on your pc. you can look up the difference in resolution on google.
I've played ITR on Q2 and with the graphics cranked to the max it looks great!

My computer is pretty good, I have a RTX 4070 Super so I'm sure my computer can handle it, I was more or less asking because I wanted to know if Into the Radius is a good experience on Meta Quest 3 with the PCVR cable.

I played it on valve index and quest 3 both with pcvr and the quest 3 is a good experience. I didn't notice any particular issues specific to the quest 3, even as I use wireless.

Thank you! This is very reassuring to hear, another reason for me to choose Meta Quest 3.

you can improve the visual quality with sidequest or similiar software

Can you tell me more about Sidequest? Is it a mod or something?

you download it on your pc with your Quest connected and then there are some settings you can tweak but keep in mind the settings will reset each time you restart your headset. It's a bit complicated to setup so you should look it up on youtube. The cable can be removed after applying the settings btw in case you play wireless.

I see! Thanks for the info, I'll give it a look if I end up getting Meta Quest 3.

The biggest difference for me is mods for the PC version. I really don't enjoy vanilla nearly as much as the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. mod.

I mean, I plan on playing the PC version with Meta Quest 3, my question was regarding which VR set runs/looks better.

I'm not sure I understand your question then. It runs fine on the Q3 standalone version, just looks worse and can't be modded. If your PC can run it well you'll enjoy that version more I would think. The game is kind of an optimized mess, so it'll be a trade off between blurry view distances and image quality depending on your PC and what settings you enable.

My question was whether the Meta Quest 3's specs and overall performance are lower than the HTC Vive while playing Into the Radius, but I've settled for getting the Quest 3, appreciate the info.

better to just by a PCVR the quest 3 is a massive waste of cash tbh, theres is minimal difference in specs from the quest 2 for over double the price tag, and to answer one of youre questions yes the HTC is better then then quest performance wise even the old Rift S runs better then the Quest 3 and its 5 years old the wired VRs will always run better if you have the PC for it wireless is only good if you dont have the Specs or the PC in general and this is coming from a computer engineer whos torn these VRs apart

I recently got a Quest 3 as an update for my Index. And the quest 3 is just miles ahead of the index. I started using it wired but I tried wireless via a dedicated access point and that's a complete game changer.

Yeah, I dunno what that guy is talking about, the Q3 is the best headset anywhere near that price point. And I'm one of those totally against Meta, doesn't have a Facebook account guys. The "minimal difference" from the Q2 is a bonkers statement. The pancake lenses alone make it so much more comfortable and clearer to look through, and the wireless performance for PCVR can't be beat by literally anything else on the market.
