Always crouched...
Greetings,

Only just started playing this after buying it ages ago. Only problem I am seeing is I am always crouched. I look down and my knees are always bent. I am playing on Quest 3 via virtual desktop and pulling down on the right stick I see my view seems to get closer to the floor but nothing else. It's almost like I am playing child size. Table tops are almost about the same height as me.

Even if I set my height in the settings to 6 foot plus, it never makes me taller. I know there's a seated mode but I haven't turned that on cause I would of remembered.

What the hell am I missing?

With what though? steam vr height adjust?

There's a height calibration in the in game settings. That should do it. If you're crouching, you need to tell it you're shorter - setting it to 6ft+ will just enforce it crouching you.

I set the in-game height adjustment to even 7 foot just to see what it would do. Made no difference. Why didn't they just add a crouch/un-crouch button? So your saying the steam height settings don't help here?

I'll try what I suggest, thanks.

Like I said, make it a lower value if you're crouched. If it thinks you're taller than you are, you'll crouch, setting it higher will only make it worse (limited by the restriction on how low it'll let you crouch)

There is a crouch/uncrouch "button" - it's down on the right stick.

Ive used the right-stick button as I said earlier. If I look down at my bent knees, it just makes my view go a bit closer to the floor... and back again. So using a crouch button while still crouched is pointless for me.

The game thinks you are crouched because you are too low compared to the height you have set. Stand up normally, go into options/controls and press calibrate. then you can choose to crouch with the down on the right stick or crouch in real life.
Edit: wait I thought this was for into the radius 2 lol. Instead I would set the seated mode to on, then each time you crouch/uncrouch by pressing down on the joystick your height is recalibrated.

I've told him twice now. But he comes back "I've set it to 7ft and it didn't fix it!"

Im also always crouched in game despite pressing the crouch/uncrouch button. Do we have a fix?

Try re-calibrating the floor level on the meta quest settings. That worked for me on ghosts of tabor.
