ItR 2 will have mod support. That is the thing you are interested in. So i think your wallet will notice ;)
Well ya, i give ya it is not 100% certain but maybe 99%.
They said in ITR1 there is a problem as the game was never intendet to have mod support. So it would be a lot of work to do.
But in Part 2 it is designed from the start to feature mod support. So ya. maybe not 100% certain but i will still place my bets on it.
And y'all actually believe they will come through on number 2? Talk about gullible.
You've got it right to the point. The VR market is small and you should keep your promises. Anyone who knows anything about modding knows that an SDK release is not complicated. We live in times with Unity and Unreal Engine and no longer in the 90s where you had to write the engine and tools yourself.
Yes. And they explained why they did it. Some people need to buy a ticket back inzo reality.
Making Mod support will make zero $ but it will cost money and time. Vr games aren't thge most profitable games.
Did they sold ItR 1 with promises on mod support? I did not see anythiong like that on the steam page maybe i need to ook again.
yeah, you do need to look again, not only did they promise it but posted their reneging on the promise in 2.8 patch post. dont be a blind fanboy.
Yo i looked it up. I do not see anything about mods in the steam describtion.
Also did they promise mod support or said they will try to do it. That is a huge difference and "ANY" smart developer knows that you Never EVER EVER EVER make Promises about stuff that was not in the original concept of the game.
This game was never build up with mod support in it which is already the reason there is no need to be butthurt.
It*s not like a essentiell feature is missing. Can you maybe provide a Link to the direct segment where they promise they will 100% implement Mods. Then i will apologize.
"So we made the tough call to cancel mod support. We apologize for not delivering on our word and letting you all down. We also want to apologize to our modding community, who even without dedicated mod support, managed to create some truly fun and unique experiences for ITR1."
You can apologize any time.
Like telling your friend to help him tomorow with this and that and then you can because of this and that. Then you say sorry i have to let you down but i got this and that.
I mean where is the 100% bulletproof statement that they will do mod support even hell freezes over.
This is what's called being a gullible, blind fanboy. They said they'd give mod support, they backtracked on their word. You clearly read the same statement I did, and have the temerity to defend them saying that they never said they would give mod support when they clearly did, even apologizing for not delivering on the promise. Then you say "Oh it's 99% we'll get mod support for the second game". What a joke.
First. I asked you about a 100% bulletproof statement that they will do mod support. CAuse i cannot find it and since you obviously exactly know where it is i asked you to link me to it.
What i do know. ItR was not build with mod support in mind. People asked for it and the decs said they will look into it and do what they can. Now they come to conclusion it is not a healthy undetaking to implement it in ITR 1. That can happen in the bussiness especialy with features that where not even part of the initial project.
The importnat things here are.
1. They apologize for the people they let down.
2. They said they will not make the same mistake twice and build ITR2 with mod support in mind.
3.You cannot run a company without money. It is expensive to work several years on a game without income and the majority of money from ITR is already generated. It is not hard to believe the resources are thin and have to used effectivly. (Especialy when they are open about it and said that themself)
4. This game is only 20bucks and no one got scammed as the Mod suppport was never a core feature.
It is sad news for everyone but honestly it would help everyone if people would stop acting like spoiled brats. (Just my opinion)
Devs promised mod support, they reneged on their promise. If you're going to trust them to keep a promise from now on, that's your bad decision to make.
