Glock not cleaning

Hello.
So after not having enough plutosphere tokens to play, i finally buy some. And I start a new playthrough to see the new changes. I know the secret glock, mag and bullets on top of the propane cylinder things. And when I reach the home area, get security level 1, and do the training/tutorial thing, i cannot clean the gun at all. I wasted most of my money on WD-40 cans so i cannot use the machine to clean the gun. I also tried cleaning the cylinder, no dirt flew off when i used the toothbrush nor the toilet paper. Please help, the PM is such a bad weapon

it says in the tutorial and the poster next to the cleaning station that yellow requires WD40, blue is a cleaning rod. red is too damaged to fix so you need to repair it.

go to the train station in Permovay and near the north-ish edge of the map is a concrete tube sticking out of the ground, that has a good quality pistol for you to use until you can fix your glock at the machine.

theres also a stash of cleaning supplies in the factory that you can run to at a low level without getting killed if you need WD40

its in too bad of a condition to repair yourself you need to repair it with the machine in the train car
