Tutorial of "making" mods for ITR?

I recently learned that it's possible to mod ITR, which is really cool.

iirc from a dev log they say the modding support for now is to make changes of some global game configurations.

I would really like to try to make my own mod but just can't find any info about "making" mods, only finding and installing them.
Are there any resources I can study?

There are channels dedicated to it in the ITR Discord where you can find basic tutorials made by community members.
