Steady aim?
Is steady aim even possible in this game? Any time I try to use something that require precision it's just near impossible to minimize shakiness. I know it's probably problem on my end, but maybe a few tips that doesn't require changing my headset.

There is a virtual stock option under gameplay. I've had mixed results with it though. Seems like it works more/better with longer optics installed

Edit for clarity: works when holding rifles with both hands near your shoulder.

Yeah, I find out about this option after searching VR aim related stuff. Seems like something that you have to get used to in order to actually shoot faster and more accurately, but I'm trying it out either way.

I rest my gun hand on my other arm. Even on two handed weapons, Im alot more steady that way instead of holding bouth arms out as you would with an actual rifle. I havent tried out virtual stock yet.

So I tried out virtual stock and it's amazing for sniper weapons, now I can actually aim and kill from hundreds of meters. At least with Tiger I had a blast gunning down those policemen and a few commandos, they didn't even knew what hit them.

Have to try it on some AK and other full-auto rifles. At least now I have a chance against late-game soldiers.

If you have oculus just put a key ring on the non dominate lanyard and grab it with the pinky of your trigger hand and pull some tension. This kind of locks the hands together and helps me. I guess you could rig something similar on the index or other controllers.

I have a Sanlaki gun stock. Basically a couple of inserts in the halo rings that attach magnetically to a metal pipe. It's made aiming for me 100% better.

Check guns in shooting range, some of them afford comfort sight picture by firmly pressing right controller to the helmet for more stable aim. Also try crouch shooting, it also minimizes you silhouette

Or, sit in a chair and cross your legs, then support your elbow on your knee. (After changing to sitting in settings......;-)

I second mejco67's tip, I've done the same since his recommendation and it works really well. I dont even bother with a key ring I jus hook my finger thru the lanyard and that does the job. For the sniper achievement I dragged a stool out of the kitchen to use as a gun rest that really helped lol

If I know I'm not going to be moving for a bit I sit on the floor for sniping as well, but when a pecho runs up to say hi its a bit of a problem :D
