If someone has anything to add, please do, like what specifically makes its uneasy for you to play. It'll help us to make the game more accessible for everyone.
The thing that affects me most is the short choppy movements you get when say manoeuvering inside a building, particularly when my head is turning at the same time. If i keep my head still, constant movement while travelling is ok with the vignetting enabled.
Hopefully it will get better with time. When I first got my headset I had to use teleport and vignette options a lot, but since then I've adapted my VR legs and rarely-if-ever get motion sick anymore. These days I only have to take a break every hour or so for eye-strain.
Otherwise, how does one explain games such as HL: Alyx , In-Death., The Light Brigade supporting basically all forms of movement without it compromising the games at all?
I wish more games would adopt In-Death's unique 'toss the shard' or whatever that thing is movement style.
Hello, I got the game on HTC vive and I have to use teleport movement due to unbearable motion sickness and I have a couple suggestions, if you would please consider them.
For the teleport movement, it would be more comfortable of pressing the d-pad down brings up the trajectory of travel and releasing the d-pad executes the teleport. Currently it is set to touch instead of press, which can lead to accidental movement.
For the snap turns, I have having issues with the game recognizing inputs and I was wondering if snap turning is also set to touch, or if it is set to press.
Also, when I put my knife and flashlight onto my chest for storage, I cannot see them and when I turn my head to find them, the holsters also turn. Is there a setting to move my head "higher" from the chest so that I can see my inventory?
I have seen gameplay on YouTube (I think his name was silver tongue devil) and the game seems really fun and I bought it, but because of these issues, I could not even complete the tutorial. I haven't returned it though, because it seems really fun and I want to be able to play.
Thank you
