It's supposed to be scary.
It's not for everyone.

If you're interested in tactics, there are posts that could help. You're trying to play a survival horror game, it's supposed to go outside your comfort zone. But you're not looking for help in your post, just something removed.

It doesn't sound like this game is for you. If you're under two hours on steam, you might be able to refund and if you're being literal in your post, you have probably only played about 20 minutes.

So sad. It's a great game you're missing.

EVERYBODY hates spawns (the tentacle things). I have well over 100 hours in this game and they still give me the heebie-jeebies

Yup. Keep moving, specifically strafing. Spawns jump at you, and are briefly stunned when they miss. They're vulnerable to attack then. After a while, you'll notice that they tend to pause briefly in their advance just before they pounce, and are easier to shoot then. This is a more advanced technique, so I suggest moving/strafing till you have more confidence in them.

Spawns are not that hard to kill... 1 or 2 pistol shots to the center of that wriggling mass will get them (although they will likely continue to freak you out for some time).

It's a lot more cost effective to stab them. After the timed dodge they land pretty much at your feet. It's also very satisfying.

Lol this man rlly do want a 'peaceful' mode ; if I have to give you a tip for not fearing them, just understand them, most of your fear is likely drawn from not knowing that they literally do barely any damage and arent rlly a threat in small numbers........

Spawns are really easy to kill, i allways kill them with the knife.

Just sprint sideways and stab it on ground =p
