Lighter item for smoking?

Hey all,
I've been trying to figure this out to no avail. I wanna smoke the ciggies I'm finding in the game, but the ingame item help says "light it with the lighter" which I don't seem to have. No lighters in the shop either as far as I can see.
I must be missing something obvious, can someone please help me figure out this newly-implemented system of little coffin nails? Thanks.

there is a lighter on a shelf BEHIND your habitation unit in the base. face the door to you hab, walk left around to the oposite side and you will find the lighter with a note on the shelf. acts as a small light source too, drop rates are lowest as a lootable item. -only ever found one in the wild.

Absolutely, I love the post-mission weapon maintanence and smoke break ritual (listening to a podcast is optional but strongly recommended).

Dude, I have a Russian Hits playlist I bop to when in-between missions. Cleaning guns, reloading all my mags, organizing my shelves and ammo boxes, it's a total Zen experience. Still need to get the lighter now I know where it is, and then i'll be able to add the cigs to it as well.

Then add coffee ... Bread, kolbasa, vodka ... make campfires, cook food, play on gitar with your coop budies. and MOD SUPPORT so community could do it for the devs.

If you walk around the base there's a fair bit of free junk stuff. Worth the walk when you're starting out with nothing.
There has to be Vodka somewhere in the zone, I will keep looking.

Lost my lighter. It was the one from the shelf. After hours of playing never found a spare. Stupid

I think not having the lighter in the store was an oversight - they sell the smokes.
I also wish the Saiga 10 round mags were available in store, it would make the shotgun a much more effective cqb weapon. It's a random find in loot boxes right now, and it's hard to get more than one.

Two things I wish I'd known a long time ago:
You CAN shut off the noise on your detector, same button for the safety IIRC
You can flip the knife in your hand and overhand stab those damned spawns.
