did everyone else lose their save games?

Do you use Steam CLoud saves? I personally turned that off a long time ago and never turned it back on.

After the last update I lost 3 of my 4 game saves. For whatever reason it just took one save and saved it in all 4 slots. It wasn't a huge deal, it did cost me about 30 mins of progress, but after that I just started saving in all 4 slots again.

It didn't actually overwrite your saves. All the info is intact.It just edited the date , because the files were edited by the game itself during the update process.

huh, so if we remembered which slot we last saved in we can just load that? Good to know for next time!

Lost all my saves. Complete BS how this happens. All that inventory & lost guns that have now been moved around. Wow... I'm pretty sure this ruined my YouTube series.

This happened to me but I "accidentally" fixed it... I was forced to start a new game and 30 minutes in I decided to pick the game back up tomorrow, then the next day I hit continue and it continued my OLD save (the one that got wiped) and my NEW save was in a separate save slot. I'm not sure how this happened but when you get on, hit continue, don't select a save slot. I don't know if this works for anyone else, but it did for me.

I'll have to try this. I mean without shutting down the game I exited to the main menu, went to the tutorial (to record additional footage) Back to the main menu & when I tried to load my profile 1 slot everything was gone...

EDIT: Unfortunately this did not work... Ugh so frustrating....

Did you try and see if the savegames were still on your pc somewhere? The dev said they were not deleted maybe the date just needs to be changed?

Yeah I checked the files under my saved games immediately & there were only the 2 quicksave files from when the game started over. It's like the game had completely overridden the files somehow.

I was able to duplicate the issue too. Having starting a new game, played for about an hour, manual saved under profile 1. Exit to main menu, play the tutorial, back to the main menu & bam, no saved game. Very glitched.
