Secret stashes!
One of the best things about this game is finding the secret stashes hidden around the map. There seem to be a huge number of these, and as far as I can tell, most of them are not referenced by notes, you just need to find them!

Would anybody like to help each other out with these?

Here’s some that I remember that aren’t necessarily obvious if you’re not looking (I’ve kept it vague):

Construction site:
(1) More on the crane than you think
(2) Look down from the top of the crane

Village:
(1) Something rested on the roof beams
(2) Secret basement area

Dorms:
(1) Seemingly inaccessible room

Road with cars in the air
(1) Try climbing cars
(2) Look underneath

Largest building at the train yard
(1) Look up (best single loot item I’ve found)

Forest north of safe house by Blockpost
(1) Scary hole

Factory
(1) Secret stairs
(2) Outside, rocks facing the entrance

Road to Komarovo
(1) Several buildings with climbing areas

And if anybody can help me with these, it would be appreciated!
- Tilting tower
- Crashed UAZ in swamp – looked for ages for this and can’t find it!
- Rifle in swamp covered with sheet metal
- Trail of light coloured stones
- Kostya’s third note (I haven’t been to the harbour or the castle yet though)

Wow here i was thinking I've seen most of what there is to see only to be completely baffled by your compilation! Great work! I'll have to check this out.

I think I know where the tilted tower is. It's on the western border of the train yard on the right sid road if you are coming from the train yard. It's close to a huge anomaly with pulsating waves coming from it. You have to get your timing right to enter the tower and avoid the waves. Some loot at the top.

The rifle in the swamp should be in the large swamp in the east of the map east of the village and south of the train yard. Somewhere in the center of the swamp (sorry, I don't remember where) there is a wooden boat on a small island with loot covered by sheet metal. Just look out for a boat and watch the sliders...

Thanks for the hints Duke!

I went to the tilting tower location you suggested and it seems I had actually looted it already but didn’t realise that it was the place from the clue. I followed the information in the clue and found this (wow!):

You’re right about the swamp, thanks again (I was looking in the other swamp). The loot is where you say it is, towards the North-East corner.

I might update the original post to keep the locations updated, depending on how interested everybody is.

p.s. I also found Kostya’s third note when rummaging around the swamp

Wait, are you saying you found the $11.000 Val in the tilted tower?!?

You lucky bastard! Can anybody else confirm that they also found it there? I'm pretty sure that the content of the loot crates is random. Or was it lying around up there?

What about the third note? What does it say?

I think it makes sense that you update the location list in your first post 🙂

Maybe I've got one more:
I read somewhere that the "trail of light colored stones" would be south of the village that is located by the eastern swamp. The trail should start somewhere along the road that leads to the village. Not too close to the village though, you have to walk some.
I went looking once but I could find it back then. So maybe I missunderstood something or didn't look thoroughly enough.

Yep I missed it the first time as well, makes me wonder how many other stashes I’ve walked past! I’m pretty sure it’s a fixed spawn, it was very well hidden under a couch cushion (not in a box) - just remember to save before you try to move the cushion as it got jammed the first time I tried to move it.

This is the third note at the swamp:

I think it probably refers to the “extra” loot at the top of the crane which you don’t find unless you’re very brave, but I’m not sure.

Thanks for the hint about the light-coloured stones. I did a full loop of the village yesterday when I was by the swamp, but didn’t see any light-coloured stones, so it must be further down the path like you say.

If you do go back to the train yard to look for the Val, check out the big tall building as well if you haven’t found that one already. The climb seems impossible at one point, but it’s worth it!

Ok, i give up. I'm at the train yard in the tallest building, looking up. I can see the hidden camp site under the roof above the 3 tanks. I managed to get up to these tanks and can almost smell the sweat, blood and tears that soaked into that mattress.

But how the hell do i get up there? Do i have to get up on the roof and get in from the outside? Is there anything climbable inside that i am missing? Could you give me another hint?

It's moments like these where it sucks that climbing is not constistent in this game. Some textures or surface structures should always be climbable and only these should be.

Hi all hey Duke of Scotland try down the back of the sofa that where I got mine.

Hi KingOfScotland, outside the building on the east side is a stealframe you can climb up, from there you have to swing to a concrete plate and you are in.

Best. Community. Evarrrrr 😁

Thanks Guys/Gals/Attack Helicopters

Edit:
Got up there now. Wouldn't have needed to ask for details if the game was consistent in what's climbable and what's not.
When I visited the train yard another time before, I tried to climb up steel frames that looked exactly the same and were just a few meters away from the one I needed to climb to get to the hideout. But those from before were not climbable, so i didn't bother to try the ones that were relevant now...
This is not a good design. The devs should make all steel frames climbable or make the ones that are climbable look differently.

Really glad you guys are finding them, I was getting worried some of them are too obtuse

There was more at the top of the crane??
Curse this fear of heights, time to go climb it again I guess...
courage not found :missing:

Just to say I found the light coloured stones. They are on the right of the road on the way to the village. I'd say they are more boulders than stones.

Please supplement the article, preferably with a more accurate explanation of where these secrets lie

Went to all of the gun stashes and nothing was there for every one of them. Do you need to find the notes to find the stash or will they spawn regardless? I have not found a single note.

You shouldn't need to find the note before you find the stash. In my playthrough I found the TT-33 in the supply depot and found the note a long while afterwards.

Are you sure you looked thoroughly?

Example: the SVD/Dragunov/Tiger rifle is hidden on the crane at the construction site. Climb in top and then go to the rear, where the counterweight is. Make your way into this little hut covering the counterweight. It should be right there.
