Anomalies don't always react to probes, and some are extremely hard to see. You have to look for anything that doesn't look right, listen for audio cues, throw probes, hide from anomalous entities, etc. Full sprinting through the forest is a great way to get yourself dead quick. I'm 30 hours in, still likely have another 30 hours to go.
Your difficulty setting also determines how long it'll take. I got lost in the woods for a good hour trying to find my place again on the map, as realistic removes real-time positions and makes hiding more difficult.
I'm having a really good time playing this game, the atmosphere is so chilling
I haven't gotten far into the game either since my save file got wiped when the game released, but as far as I've played I haven't seen any. BUT! You can climb VERY high in some places and have a really beautiful overview of the area! Also, on the topic of interior locations, I'm hoping for something epic at the Castle, but I might be disappointed
The indoor sceneries are not quite as large and intimidating as you find them in Stalker. Their respective size is plausible though and fits the environment.
Nice! that's really all I'm needing here, I wasn't expecting any grand labs, just knowing there's more than the woods is helpful.
