Private server local hosted without jumping through hoops is what's missing
All just another attempt at the states not looking weak after the second world war you were loosing the space race, the countries who were 'falling' under communist control were still mad about the cruelty that the states committed during the banana wars, leaving thousands to starve, then comes a commie with a spud. what would your hungry heart fight for?
Also many are now conditioned with pay to advance, loot boxes, dumb add-ons and the worst of all fps genres aim assist on pc games.
Real fps games that actually count on real skill and teamwork are very much lacking.
At the end of the day tho it is just a bunch of disguised gambling.
Waki needs to drive the game forward without emulating Valve corporation. Valve is a tone deaf company that SUCKS. When HL1 and HL2 were patched they had 60000+ players checking it out.
If 60k people show up to check out an updated HL1 or HL2, then it signals very strongly the the status quo is being rejected by fans. Nobody wants a "modern" game, people want core experiences without noise.
MCV is not a core experience game because it is not a community driven game due to lack of dedicated server hosting.
This game will die in a Dustfade headlock, they have the same retarded mentality as Valve where they have a compulsion to control the way people play the game under the auspices of controlling the first experience a user has. Ultimately this level of control pushing away community leaders and the game remains empty.
