KQIV not allowing me to play

When I run Kings Quest 4, it asks for a certian word in the manual. Yet, when I try to open the manual, it doesnt work. What is the word? I beleive it is the 6th word in the 1st paragraph on the 3rd page.

Go to the manual, go to the KQIV section. At the beginning of that section, the author of the manual tells you that the answers to the security questions are at the end of the KQIV section. Do that and you will see the words in a chart, telling you what the answers are according to the respective question asked.

But I can't go to the manual. It doesn't work.
