Why is this game still full price?
This game was released 4 years ago and already has a sequel along with another game already announced. I've also seen and heard almost nothing but bad things about the game but I'm literally out of games to play so despite what people are saying, I'm still interested, but not for full price if it's as bad as people say. The only SAO game I've completed was Re: Hollow Fragment. I really put insane amounts of time into that. If I wasn't working, I was playing Re: Hollow Fragment until I went to bed, I played enough that I actually managed to reach level 300 through multiplayer and I loved bringing Yuuki along because everyone would always go crazy asking me how I got her. lmao Re: Hollow Fragment was just special, especially since it continued the aincrad arc which I felt was way to short in the anime.

From what I've heard, this game has more in common with Re: Hollow Fragment than any other SAO game but 10 years later, that might not be a good thing. I think I remember purchasing this game a couple years ago and trying to play it on console but similar to Re: Hollow Fragment, it ran like crap and seemed to have very low frame rate that was constantly awful. That didn't bother me on RE: Hollow Fragment because it was an older game on a portable system. This game however doesn't have that excuse so I find it hard to overlook. Is that still a problem too? Is it even remotely worth full price?

Edit: I take it back, I finished Fatal Bullet too.

it really depends how you want to approach the game, it goes on big sales often so just wishlist it and wait i would say.

seen it for like 10bucks or so a few times already.

YOu can spent 50hours and also 500+ hours in the game depending on your mindset and if you even enjoy the postgame grind, which is quite time consuming.

This game is the grindiest of them all.
Skipped the whole story because it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks.
Dlc are just a cash grab.
The only good thing here is combat and part of the grind.

dlc has some of the hardest content, not really a cash grab imo.

more grind for sure tho.

DLCs for the Last recollection game are just a cashgrab

If you care about your wallet and time, buy Fatal Bullet instead... This game has trash story that goes in line with Anime and then it completely breaks apart and makes the whole thing feel like a total waste of time... I liked the Medina story until I found out its filled in and out with Incest, discrimination, racism and severly offensive behaviour... Eugeo was supposed to be dead yet he was not, Yuuki which is the best girl of them all is not even present (yes she died in Anime but since the games have nothing to do with the Anime, makes no sense to exclude characters) and Alice is not the super strong badass girl with golden sword and golden armor anymore but feels more like an annoying girl that feels like she owes everyone everything... Cardinal has one of the best VA I have seen in the game so far (apart from the half assed VA of classic characters like Kirito, Eugeo, Alice and so on), Romance is cut severly to the point where its useless to do so and if you grind enough, the game is so easy that it wont be a challenge to do anything because when I played, I was ALWAYS overleveled and I havent even tried...

So just buy Fatal Bullet because its much better game, has its own meaningfull story and your own character that just "meets" the original SAO characters and is friends with them. You can also swap to play as Kirito or even Kiriko and its overall a better game... Also it runs much better than Alicization Lycoris (around 3x more FPS and it has the same visuals and same size maps)...
