Phyre Engine is not a bad engine at all the Devs are ♥♥♥♥. Phyre is being used by Trail of Cold Steel for example and they are superb ports and games.
No wait, some PS2 games looked a hundred times better.
You clearly never played them lol. The first two are PS3 games yes but the 3rd and 4th are a jump. The games have alot of techniques in them like soft shadows, HBAO+ and alot of other things this game doesn't even think about. They are way more expensive options than you may think. Like yes overall this game (without the downgrades) looks better but the additional stuff the Trails games offer outweight it by far in performance and implementation
Not to mention all of Aquarias games run bad its not just this. And instead of fixing it they remove more and more effects making the game bland. Amazing right
