The first chapter was way too long for a prologue
I'm not gonna lie,the first chapter was almost identical to the anime to the point where i skipped out some cutscenes in order to get through it done faster because i have seen the anime and i still remember it in my head but however there were some new things added in there such as the new character and i did not skipped those.

But i just finished Chapter one (aka prologue) for like 10-20 hours and NOW the game opens up and finally the tutorial is over and now i'm enjoying the story more because this is where the anime ended is now going off it's own path.

I just wish that they would've made chapter one shorter somehow.

They should've just done like in hollow fragment, skip everything until the last part where stuff actually diverges from the canon. Maybe by adding some optional recap for people that didn't watch the anime/read the novel. Medina segments (the only original thing) could've been worked in in some other way.
As of now if you already watched the anime it's a huge waste of time.

The original stories are what makes the SAO games different to the game series based on most other franchises, apart from them being mediocre arena-fighters

I actually didnt mind it, but as someone who has kept up to date with the show, i felt really bored as I already knew what happened

Light version production of the whole story (late September)
Lighted the story connecting from Chapter 1 to Chapter 2, and adjusted it so that people experiencing the original story and animation can enjoy the "Lycoris" route. Adjust the original scenario so that you can enjoy it.

Am I the only one that did not mind reliving the anime experience? I personally liked the anime adaptation more than Lycoris. I hope they give us more anime story content and cutscenes

For people who haven't watched the anime, I think the first chapter does a passable job at worldbuilding and is entertaining enough. But for most people, it was just hours of skipping cutscenes until they got to a fight.

They should at least reduce the amount of cutscenes and stuff. Or at least combine cutscenes and crap. Literally there are moments in the game where you get a cutscene and then walk 5 feet and get another cutscene and then walk another few feet and get another cutscene. Its like just freaking combine them. Also I think this game had excessive amounts of cutscenes and stuff. It was more like 90 percent visual novel and only 10 percent rpg. If anything this game should have been advertised as a visual novel rather than an rpg considering how much of the game was just cutscenes. I would enjoy more story content, but only if they kept it at like 50 percent visual novel content and 50 percent rpg gameplay. This game is supposed to be an rpg of sorts but it hardly feels like one with all the sitting around in cutscenes you have to do.

Agreed. I looked forward to the game mostly because I knew it would fix everything wrong with the Alicization anime. But that chapter 1 was a total slog. Especially when the tutorial parts of that chapter sucked all to hell. Even now after (mostly) fixing the AI (the Hollow Realization AI still being significantly better), there is still a lot chapter 1 doesn't do nearly enough to explain either well or at all.

I'm skeptical the lite version will be as useful as their making it out be. It's getting better, but overall this game has been a significant disappointment gameplay wise coming off of the high water mark that was Hollow Realization.
