Player avatars

For 200 hours i haven't seen a single player avatar in the wild until today.
Now i'm unsure if the recent update fixed it or not, but once i changed my profile to public i was finally able to recruit some.

Perhaps other people could test this out and see if this is really a thing?

my profile is turned "public" and i didn't see any player wayfarers do you have any screens of it working for us please? this is a important bug atm.

edit: are those player wayfarers or just the npc wayfareres?

we need the playerbase to help and try now

I found 4 of the 7 in Vizeah Valley, though it will probably be random

i did try it myself now and found zero player avatar so far its very strange

will try again later maybe with a friend

Online for pc version is tied to steam server download region which is why many people had trouble finding co op with friends until they switched to same download region.

Not many people play the pc version of the game anyway but if you also add in this factor of all the different download regions and that EAC is often disabled by many for performance boost then it stands to reason why you might not see any.

I killed some DBs earlier and I hadn't seen any of them. I didn't do Multiplayer though.

After seeing your post, I opened the game again and looked at a couple of maps worth of Wayfarers. After a few, I saw "Player Avatar has taken over" at the bottom. I keep looking through maps and after looking through most of the maps, I found my first one. I'm guessing it's going to take a while for the world to be populated by them as they likely ninja fixed it with this last patch.

I just saw it a second time, but I'm not going to bother scouting for single PAs. I'm just going to wait until my world gets populated. I wonder if they can still be updated in if you're doing Raid or if you have to be outside of it.

EDIT: Well, I just ran into the second one. Two Player Avatars found so far in my World. I haven't seen anymore of that message yet.

Oh what is your steam server download region? That might also help. Because I also don't see the play avatars.

I just found 2 player avatars in Warmia Greenbelt.
Update: I invited a wayfarer party for some hunt and 1 of them changed to player avatar.

You are right. Last 1hr, I found 6 human players randomly after turning my profile to public.

I can't find you after changing to UK London. But I also realised if I join someone else's game, their avatar also appear in my friends list.

While just changing it to public didn't work much, changing it to your download region worked it for me, I have now found one in Vizeah Valley.
