People are saying Chapter 1 is like 20+ hours. Even with skipping content. Is this true? If so how short are the other 5 chapters then if you cleared in 41 hours. Were you skipping cutscenes or watching them too.

What level did you end at? If cap what is the cap?

There are story elements that explain the missing Integrity Knights, but yes I do wish you could play all of them. More than likely in the future, there are 2 dlc's and the War of the Underworld story to tell still!

No, Chapter 1 in its entirety was the longest because I watched all the cutscenes and that only took 11:23:19 according to my chapter 2 start data. The other chapters are decently long, but if you don't care too much about the storytelling monologue you could EASILY cut that down to about 15 hours for a full clear of the game, assuming you knew where to go. I watched most everything and ran a few side stuff for the Divine Beast Seals but otherwise that was a full story clear with all cutscenes. The final boss segments are literally about 2-2 1/2 hours long. Save before, and expect to crash. After you've seen it though you can skip and get your clear data if it does crash.

What's the max level you can get to?
Also, when you level up you and people in your party, does the rest of the characters level up as well? (Hoping I don't have to level everyone up individually so I can switch out characters as I feel like it)

Not sure on the level cap but a Normal difficulty Divine Beast is level 81, and I've seen a Death Game mid tier boss go over level 100 so level cap is probably around 100-150 range.
Everyone in the game gets exp as you do, so no individual leveling required. Also, their starting gear levels up as you progress through the story (my current teams starting gear is +4 enhanced, and I haven't enhanced their stuff at all.)

When do you get access to online co-op? And do your status transfer over from the main story?

At the start of Chapter 2, and yes it does. If you progress story with a friend it applies to both of you. And, you cannot join someone who has progressed further than you so you are guaranteed to always be doing something you've either done or need to do.

Certain skills state that they branch off with an "additional input", but in my experience, it just automatically uses the max level of them. Am I doing something wrong, or what would said additional input be?

They are learned from your characters actions. So they automatically are created.

That said, if you are on PC you currently cant make new arts codes.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean so let me explain both things that come to mind.

Combat Skills have an additional Skill tree. If you select it in the skill tree list (they are blue) it will let you apply changes to the skill, such as added duration at the cost of more SP.
Sword Skills are different, they have "branches". Basically what that means is as you unlock higher tiers of the sword skill, you can press the same sword skill buttons multiple times to continue the sword skill longer than the initial activation. Going to use Double Circular from the Dual-Wield Tree as an example. First activation only does the lunge forward double slash, but (if unlocked) you can activate the button combo again at the right time to cause Kirito to do a side-to-side swing, and then a third time to spin vertically in the air while swinging. Most of the "branched" sword skills require precise timing (the exact right moment in the animation). There are certain abilities and item skills that increase the amount of time you have to make it easier to connect the skill branches.

I was definitely referring to the latter. Is the timing the same as chaining with other sword skills? (The diamond "flash" that's been in pretty much all SAO games)
