Cannot switch back to main character?

Somehow during battle and with changing characters I have made it so I now cannot change back to Kirito. Left bumper just changes between the other 2 characters but never him.. Saving and reloading hasnt fixed it. Am sure its something simple but cannot figure it out.

You just select him first with LB.

While holding LB, press left or right D Pad to change who you can swap with.

i had same thing i had to go back to town and it switches you back to kirito
