About mouse/keyboard controls (Again)

Is there any chance someone knows if the controls are feasible? On other SAO games via PC the controls were a nightmare to say the least (Looking at you Accel vs SAO) which made the game unplayable for me. I mean the most important thing probably is mouselook. Also, on a sidenote, I hope it won't be as shallow as the other games since 99% of it's content was conversation and grinding with the harem.

Well it's not out yet so it's impossible to say until it's actually released.
These games are made for controllers though but they should have mouse + kb input but they might be bad, they might not. We'll see in 10.5 hours

Thought so. I was thinking maybe some beta tester or something like that could've put word out, or one of the devs. I'll probably get it on console if there's no mouselook (keyboard can probably be configured after all) since I really just obsessively love the idea of that kind of VR world. (Screw reality, like, honestly :D)

;D well i just use an xbox one or ps4 controller, i feel it works the best for games like these on pc ^_^

Perhaps I'll get an adapter for PC in the future ^^ Another concern always is for how long my PS4 or my PC is going to survive anyways but I guess when it happens, it happens anyways. That's why I usually don't bother with getting an adapter. Hail the toasters and being relatively broke, heh.

If you have the charge cable for your ps4 controller you can just plug it in to your pc and use it for most steam games already ^_^

Just an ordinary cable since the original cable died a long time ago. Does that work either way? O.o

As long it's a micro usb to usb cable it should theoretically work, how else do you charge your ps4 controller ^^ ?

I didn't even know this, that's why I asked :D I thought there's some magic in the original cable that makes it work so I also thought I needed one of those adapters. I am just glad if stuff is working, other than that technology is my absolute nemesis. I'll try it out. God, if it works... a whole new world will open up to me... (I usually just play on PC if I wanna play a game that I don't have on console or if I play a game that needs me to aim because via controller I definitely suck at aiming.) I'll not try it right away, but I definitely will when I'm bored of Slay the Spire.

:D well just try it now with any game you have that has controller support and you'll see if it works, in some cases you must start steam in big picture, go to settings, controller settings and make sure the ps4 input is checked and generic controller support aswell in some cases.

I actually don't think the controls are that bad (though I've only seen a clip of a YouTuber Havien going through the keyboard settings and he may have changed it) as it appeared as if it was WASD to move (with buttons around it for combat controls), IJKL for camera controls (not best but doesn't seem too difficult) and a few other buttons around for menus and such. He also mentioned if you're holding down the right-click on a mouse you control the camera so there's that too.

Horrible :D But since mouselook seems to work, I'm fine with that.

You can use DS4 controller with pc wireless via a standard bluetooth USB dongle just fine. I prefer them to the steam controller for most things. There are rarely problems and you can customize the controllers better than you can on a console.

How to:

Press ps button and share until the light starts blinking.

Go to windows start menu and start typing bluetooth to get bluetooth settings page

Click Add device

Select the first type

Pick your controller

Set steam controller settings (easier to find in big picture mode) to support playstation controller configuration

When the controller is connected you can set the LED color per controller in the steam settings too
