SAOCoins exist for lazy people or late comers to catch up
Anyway, I don't have any problems with guys wearing dresses in real world (even if noone really do that, lol). I have a problem with Kirito wearing dress. He wasn't good with this kind of things (Kiriko and nekomimi situation in previous games for example), he always felt awkward and I bet he will never wear dress by his own will.
Cross dressers exist. Dragqueens exist. Hell in my highschool class there was a guy who came to school once in a dress. Granted it was for halloween but it still happened. Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it's not there. And if you don't want your Kirito to be in a dress, cool don't put him in a dress. That easy. Guys in dresses HAVE been normal. being apart of the LGBT community myself, I just don't judge people for what they wear. Hell the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Pope could come out wearing a bikini and hey, that would be his choice.
And in my country (and in many others, not so "progressive" countries like yours) you will be beaten till half death or even killed if you will go out in dress on the streets. THAT'S how much it's not normal for most males. And I am not saying thats right thing to do, I will be glad if people will be able to express themselves however they want. But it's just not working like that for the rest of the world.
I don't want the possibility to put Kirito in dress in general. Because he is not crossdresser or something. He felt awkward even in girly, but still male avatar in GGO at first, so he will never wear dress by his own will. And giving someone an opportunity to do this is violation of his rights.
But, nah, there is no rights for white straight guys, right?
2.Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it's not there. It's just society tends to keep it hidden away. for what ever reason. I didn't realize how big the LGBT community was until I officially came out of the closet. and it's huge.
3. No rights for cis white straight males? Oh no, there's plenty of rights for white males. Just not a whole lot going around for anyone else. That's why protests are happening right now.
My point is, you're making a mountain out of a mole hill.
My Kirito isn't going to look anything like Kirito anyways since there's character customization. and I'm willing to bet like 99% of the people playing this game are going to be the same way. If you want your Kirito to be Kirito thats YOUR prerogative. What anyone does with the game is their choice. Their Kirito. It changes nothing on how you enjoy the game, likewise it changes nothing on how they enjoy the game. Cause really, Is the option of Kirito wearing a dress REALLY going to change how you play?
kirito in dresses are not part of your fetishes thus nobody should be allowed the pleasure of putting kirito in dresses?
like if you're gonna be a ♥♥♥♥♥ and kink shame everyone, you might as well just be the whole ♥♥♥♥♥ and just admit out right you are trying to kink shame us all into skyrim.
BECAUSE THERE IS NO BACKGROUND STORY FOR YOUR ORIGINAL CHARACTER.
Same with Fatal Bullet. Your character can be whoever you want. Cause it's yours.
And Kirito is not yours. And not mine. He is a seperate being with his own characteristics, that were described by author in the way he wanted to do it.
And now, please, show me a line from ranobe/moment from anime/from interview with Kawahara were Kirito was something like "Ah, what a cute, beautiful dress! I want to wear it! (or at least "I don't mind to wear it!").
Oh, right... there is no such a line/moment. But there were others, opposite ones, where he was feeling awkward because of his girly avatar or wearing nekomimi.
And don't you even think to post some disgusting fanart or doujinshi or art from a mobile game where they draw whatever will sell. That won't count as an argument even in a million years.
Pretty ironical, that someone who is screaming about protecting rights don't think about other's feelings or rights (I don't mean myself by the way, I mean Reki Kawahara, the author, and Kirito, even if he is not techinically "alive").
Or maybe you from LGBT too? I don't really against all this stuff, but if you do - there is no point to waste time speak with you.
It's a) limited to one culture/nation; b) it's was not affected by gender stereotypes in those countries, so noone there due to different cultural/social reasons never thought about it as a "women only" clothes like many other countries.
But that's not the point. Just answer my question: how often do you see a man wearing dress (or at least skirt) in public nowadays (except for kilt in Scotland or hakama in Japan; the real womans dress or skirt, pink or with frills or whatever)? If you ever saw one, how people around looked at him? I bet they stared at him or, more possibly, even silently laughed if it was a "normal" (in a good way) country like USA, Japan, Germany, France, etc. In more barbaric countries like mine you really won't be able to cross the street in it. It's just not normal for the most people in a modern world.
Uh, actually, world history has a long, well, history of men wearing garments that today we would call a "dress". Hell, up until the time that actual pants were invented, men wore "skirt-like" or "dress-like" clothing nearly exclusively. That is several thousand years of men wearing "dresses" compared to the roughly 600 years men have worn them less often. Hell, for centuries, pants were so fashionless that even the pants themselves were designed to look like skirts on men.
So, in fact, it is against the norm for men to not wear dresses, if one considers the historical lengths involved.
This is probably going to be the last SAO game for a long time since only 1 more series is supposed to happen, BamCo are milking this cow hard before its put out to pasture.
