Click the ADD A GAME thingy down at the bottom left and do activate a product on steam and enter your CD key, but then it will have to download for you to play it w/o a CD.

If I do that it claims the cdkey is wrong. If I install from cd no problems. ?

click add game and then add a non-steam game , choose codwaw, launch codwaw through steam and hit shift and tab , its gonna be like on steam., but u will have to launch it through steam always in order to have the shift + tab thingy.

I have a non steam version of WaW. i did the whole click add game and then add a non-steam game then found the WaW.exe file and added that to my steam library. You will still need to have the disk in your drive though but yes the overlay will work so it's not so different. Good luck

hey , i bought the WaW but the box didnt have any keycode to add the game on steam ... what can i do to add it ?

CD CoD5 are not out on STEAM plateforme, i dont think how many years later, cod5 is added on steam so key steam only, not retail CD because it's key of no-drm.

You need buy on steam 25€ or wait sales, or you play no-steam games.

Not other choice

As i wrote in an above message (in 2013): I have a non steam version of WaW. i did the whole:- clicked on "add game to steam" and then on "add a non-steam game to your library". I found the WaW.exe file and added that to my steam library and that was it :). You will still need to have the disk in your drive to play though but yes the overlay will work when you run the game from inside steam. It worked back then and continues to work now. Good luck.
Oh and P.s. the file i added was from "C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty - World at War\CoDWaW.exe" but i obviously only added the WaW.exe part. I hope that helps.

For me it's kept here - "C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty - World at War\CoDWaW.exe". I'm using windows 7 home premium so it may be different for you. I suppose just try checking any folder named "Activision" Is it an old hard copy you have, as in the cd/dvd ?

I also bought it in store, waited one month to get there. Spend 15 euros, now it says it cant be activated? Bull s... Opened the dvd case, entered the code and nothing. Just says it's not valid. What can I do with non steam CoD5? Nothing..
