Help! Game crashes when I try to change the resolution!

I have a 1920x1080 monitor but when I try to change the default resolution, the game crashes and says Unhandled Exception.

Same thing happens to me. Just try not to do the max resolution and do the resolution before the max. It works for me at 1440x900

goto C:/users/(computer name)/appdata/localactivision/CoDWaW/players/profiles/(active player profile)
open config_mp.cfg with wordpad (check properties and make sure read onlt is NOT checked)

Find the line

seta r_mode "640x480" (or whatever 0000x0000 happens to be)

Change to the desired resolution there and save. Go into game and everything should be fine.

May or may not work for all but this is the only solution I found to fix the freeze crash after trying to set resolution in game.

type seta r_fullscreen 0

press enter

type vid_restart

There doesnt seem to be a setting to make the game widowed. Is there a command for it in the Launch Options in the properties on steam?

What if you have this problem along with the game crashing when you try to load a custom zombie map?

What I did was go to the ingame console and put r_mode 1920x1080 then vid_restart and it worked fine
