Do i have to download all patches to play Cod WaW multiplayer at all? (retail)

I have the retail edition (not on steam) does anybody know if i have to download all the patches to 1.7 or even more to play multiplayer?

Yes for retail. v1.7 is the last patch. there's a couple of patches that can be skipped, but I forget the order in which they can be, so to be safe, get them all:

I just checked it. It works for me, but there's also another link in the second post that combines the patches.

There are some new youtube videos that have the links and a how to guide. Also dont forget to update punkbuster to play on most servers.
