lost all my game history - how do I get it back?

Had some server connection problems the past few days and after successfully reconnecting I no longer have any game history - I've been busted back to Private!

Is there any way to recover my previous game state?

go to C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Activision\CoDWaW\players\profiles open active.txt and change to your old profile name

active.txt has my old profile name so there is nothing to change in there

the profiles directory has 2 sub-directories, one named with my old profile and one called $$$ created yesterday

where is the playing history saved?

Your save history should be under your name. You may see a file with the name mpdatabk0000 or something. That's your old save data and the one just named mpdata is your new save file. You can get rid of the new file and try renaming mpdatabk0000 to mpdata and see if the game is cool with it.

If not, swing by PDE servers and you will have your data back quickly after a couple of games.

tried renaming the mpdatabk0000 file in my profile directory and the directory called $$$ and both came up without my old data

I don't see a PDE server in my server list - are you saying the data is also saved on remote servers or that I can work my way back to where I was?

I had the same problem yesterday. I'm now going to backup my profile after every game session. This is hell. Feels like i've been robbed.

It isn't saved on servers, but on PDE servers, you can get back to where you were very fast. That's weird that you can't see a PDE server in your ingame server list (find game in main menu).
