Mod tools. Help!

So, I downloaded CoD WaW from steam, and I want to make my own custom zombie maps. I've seen vids (youtube) on how to, but my question is, since I got WaW from steam, do I need to still download the mod tools? And if so, which ones? Please let me know how to, or what you did. (Maybe post a link from youtube on the subject.) (Btw, I'm using windows 8)

I think you dont need to download any other program, if you are use mod from steam.
I dont use Steam-mod I download from Skyrim nexus and I think is much better.
Keep check the answers from forum, I m not sure about Steam-mod. :-)

I'm not sure what you mean. Are you saying this for making custom maps or playing them? I already play them. The modtools are for making. ??

any buty wont to play some world at war custem zombies i dont have a mike but i have an xbox 360 but any way my tag for world at war is SoothingCow9

You need mod tools V1.0, 1.1 , 1.2, 1.2.1, 1.3, and 1.4 I use old town script placer the one treyacrh used. The player made script placers are complete garbage.

make sure you install them in order as well. and get either sniperbolts v2 mod tool update(BEST CHOICE) or there some other ones floating around like dmv patch or ugx patch. and install one of them last. they just fix errors which treyarch just straight up forgot. other then that happy map making! and get rid of windows 8!! garbage

Thanks ubove! Also, does anyone know how to use Fileshack? Whenever i get on Fileshack to download the mod tools, there is no download link whatsoever! Help please
