Sound Effects

I have problems with hearing sound effects. I could hear my self, and the announcer, but i can't hear anythign els. No explosions. somebody else gun shot. Anybody has the problem or a solution?

If you don't get an answer here, try googling the problem. I've often seen people talk about sound problems with the game in the past on various sites so maybe a solution is out there.

I've been trying to, but it seems no one else has the problem. My friends who newly purchased the game dont have either. It just weird. I can only hear the announcer screaming and my self shooting and walking. the only time i hear people shoot is when I watch the replay of my death

Try installing the latest DirectX

is up to date. I just finish reinstalling the game, and that didnt work. I honetly don't know what to do anymore. Thank you for your help though.

Do you have surround sound speakers? Either that or may be something with changing the frequency of the sound in windows sound options. I remember reading about that somewhere long ago. CoD4 had a sound bug with some people also.

Im currently using my afterglow wireless headset. I deft found that what you speak of, Changing frequency to 441000 hz cd quality from 48000 Hz dvd quality, but the problem still there.

just bought the game and use the same headset and i have the same problem if i find an answer i'll post it here if you want.
