How to host a dedicated server?

You will need to own or create a server box and install WaW on it. Then, you will need to create a commandline script which the game is operated on. Copy a server.cfg file for WaW from somewhere on the net and put it in the '/main' folder of WaW. You will also need lots of bandwidth or people will be lagging on it.

If you just want to create something simple for you and a couple of friends, you can make a shortcut to the game and add the necessary commandlines and start the game by the shortcut, all on your PC.

Thanks for that man, you wouldn't happen to know what the actual commandlines are would you?

You can search the net. There are quick tutorials out there. There should be files with the structure already in them as well. You can also download a mod like OpenWarfare and check its commandline out. You will just need to remove the 'mods/openwarfare' reference in the line because you are trying to run a regular server I guess.

Why are you trying to set up a server?

I would have to know what you mean by 'so dead'. Do you mean you can't find any servers? We play every day on servers with lots of players. If you need a server for that, we have you covered already.
