My friends can't join my WaW lobby
I got this game today in hopes of playing zombies with my friend who also just got the game today and for some reason neither of us cant make a joinable lobby even by invites. We've used hamchi with other games with some problems but we fixed those in due process. Help would be much appreciated

in many cases, Hamachi and various other VPN software are known to work in WaW as well. co-op modes in this game are indeed troublesome due to the infamous problem you've mentioned above. basically, onnectivity for co-op modes in WaW heavily depends on network settings, particularly NAT type. if certain ports aren't configured as open in NAT settings of router, then playing with friends can become much harder than it should, let alone playing with randoms in public lobbies.

at first, you can all restart your games and routers once, then try inviting/joining again to see if it fixes the issue. it may sound weird, but it can really be helpful in some cases. if no luck, you might select a friend as host, to whom everybody can connect without any problems. when nothing worked yet, you should go for "port forwarding" as a last resort, to become a more efficient host (port forwarding is the process of opening certain ports via router interface). players who enabled required ports have a higher chance to be seen by others in public server list, too. you can easily find video guides on internet explaining how port forwarding is done depending on your router type. lastly, you should take a look at this community guide, regarding the ports used by WaW's online modes.

When I first opened Cod waw like many others I had many problems and I have found the solution to the three me and my friends had which I addressed the solutions to below. I really hope this helps as this took me and my friend around 5 to 6 hours to figure this all out. Good luck and I hope this helps you or anyone else who sees this.

How to Fix Resolution crashing on cod Waw below

When changing resolution or anything like this it can crash your game and mess up the game completelly. The way me and my friends fixed this was by typing %appdata% into search. Next, we clicked on the thing that said appdata on the file. Next you see roaming local and local low. Click on local and then Activision. Next, continue through clicking on COD WAW then players then profiles then your account. From here open both config and config_mp in notepad. Once in here search seta r_mode and change the resollution to the desired choice (1980x1020 is the one i use). Next click both control and s at the same time to save this. Finally close out and reopen your game. Hope this helps!.

Coop fix

We have found a fix to play coop on cod waw. First download Zerotier. This allows you to have a in a way a online lan server. Once this is downloaded follow the instructions to download zerotier (heres a good video - How To Work Remotely Using Zerotier & Windows Remote Desktop (RDP) by Lawrence Systems.

. After following this and joining your friend who will be the host on their internet have the person hosting host a lan lobby in coop. Next, invite your friends and this should work. Keep in mind you should make sure you have punkbuster on just in case.

Multiplayer Fix

Also for online multiplayer cases turn on punkbuster and enable the command console. Once this is done click the tilda key or the key needed to open the console (tilda = `). Then type in the following /set net_port 28961. Once this is in click enter. Next, once again enter this same text however it should now say latched valule and default underneath the text. Once you see this do not click enter but click the tilda key once again.

I hope this helps best regards me and Enderwoopie.
