I’ve been wanting to play this game so badly but are their even any open servers?

There is one vanilla server who is still active, the rest are boring crouch or bot servers.

Not worth buying. When I bought this game in 2013, this game was in its golden age for the last 5 or 6 years. The servers are already dead in the plutonium application. There are only 17 people at night. On the game's own main server, only 2 servers are active. They will disappear into the dusty pages of history in less than 2 years.

last time i checked you can't even create an online profile in this game anymore which you need to do to play online lol idk if that's still the case but you're better off getting plutonium
