Is this game still worth it in 2023?
I was thinking of finally playing this game for myself. I played BO 1 and 2 years back, and I loved those but I've never played this one before. Is this game still worth buying, but just for the campaign and I guess some zombies? I'm not like too interested in the multiplayer, and I don't even know if it's still active, but I am interested in the campaign and playing zombies with my brother once his PC gets fixed, but yeah would I be missing a lot from not touching the multiplayer?

Yes it is worth buying. Firstly the Campaign is one of the best I ever played and really think you will enjoy it as well. Second The zombies mode is incredible, It is eerie, and even if you have never played it before, it gives you a weird Nostalgia feeling. Multiplayer servers are shut down but you can access servers by using Plutonium ( Buy the actual game because I do not encourage pirating, it can lead to bad things, I know from personal experience )

Yes definitely buy it, the multiplayer servers aren't shut down they are just not very populated, you can still find games on vanilla WaW as well as plutonium WaW.

The community and mod scene is still very much active on here.

I think I will check this game out though! The campaign doesn't look too long, but I've heard it's one of the best. Can't wait! :balloonicorn:

Just my 2 cents, but I'd get a DVD copy from amazon or ebay. That way can avoid issues with creating an on-line profile. You can then get a no-cd crack for the single player exe so you don't need the disc to play. You don't have worry about that with the multiplayer exe as its only the single player executable which requires the DVD to play.

Edit: The only drawback with the DVD copy is you'll have to manually download and install the patches yourself. It's not that bad though, and you can find working links on pcgamingwiki and a few other sites.

-------

Workarounds for on-line profile creation exist for digital copies of course, but it's just easier with old DVD copies of the game as their CD keys still work so you only need to put in the key, install the patches, and you're good.

if you end up getting it don't play vanilla MP, its unlikely it'll happen but there is plenty of RCE's where people can take control of your computer, that's why people play plutonium because it includes security patches.

Still not sure if I'm interested in MP but I'll keep that in mind! Do people really still play this though? I mean I'm assuming yes judging by all the people telling me to check out the MP but still lol I didn't think anyone would still be playing the MP
