In short no. You can still play normal servers if you have a retail copy. On steam they don't even advertise this game as having multiplayer anymore, so that should tell you how much activision care sadly.

You can use unofficial servers like plutonium to use your official/legal copy of Cod:WaW to play with your friends, but if you didn't purchase the game before they stopped giving out CD keys, you can kiss official servers goodbye. I've been looking for a way to play official servers to no avail.

damnit i is the story mode alone worth 20 dollars ? i wanted to play the best cod online and blow peoples legs off like i used to :(

Idk I remember for years when I bought this game online never worked, however after a couple of years I could finally see online servers.
